Anushka Sharma Urges Citizens To Maintain Strict Hygiene To Curb The Spread Of COVID-19

Anushka Sharma has always been vocal when it comes to issues concerning the environment. She is someone who will roll her windows down and give someone a nice hearing if they fail to obey rules and maintain cleanliness. So, she makes for the perfect ambassador to talk about hygiene during the times of COVID-19.

The video shared by the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan has Anushka talking about how it is so important for us to maintain strict hygiene now more than ever. She reminds us of this movement started by the women of India where they wanted to put across the ‘darwaza band toh bimaari band‘ message, talking about the importance of using restrooms and building proper sanitation facilities to curb diseases. She emphasises the importance of that message now, during the times of Coronavirus where safety and hygiene are of most importance to fight the disease.
