Akshay Kumar was all set to clash with Salman Khan this Eid at the box-office. While Khiladi Kumar’s Laxmmi Bomb was to release, Salman Khan wanted Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai to hit the theatres. However, due to the ongoing lockdown and the rise of the pandemic no theatres will be opening anytime soon.
While Radhe still has pending scenes to be shot, Akshay Kumar and his team completed the shoot pre-lockdown. Latest reports around the film have confirmed that Laxmmi Bomb will now release on the OTT platform and skip a theatrical release. Now we hear Akshay has decided to come out with his film on Independence Day, August 15, 2020. In the past few years the actor has always released a film on this day, right from Rustom (2016), Gold (2018) to Mission Mangal (2019) and now he even picked it for his digital world premiere. We wish the team all the very best for the release! Directed by Raghava Lawrence, the film stars Kiara Advani alongwith Akshay.
