Maharashtra government gives a green flag for shootings to resume

The coronavirus pandemic has brought businesses around the world to a halt and Bollywood is no different. Film and television shootings had been called off in mid of March due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, but now looks like things are about to change slowly. Recently, the Maharashtra government permitted resumption of shootings for films, television serials, advertisements, web shows and more with immediate effect. The move follows appeals from the film industry. According to a report, delegation of Bollywood filmmakers reportedly had called on Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in this regard last week.

Issuing a Government Resolution (GR), the Cultural Affairs Ministry on Sunday said that producers will have to conduct pre-production and post-production works by adhering to the guidelines laid down by the government. The order stated that social distancing norms will have to be followed strictly with focus on personal hygiene.
