We all know that Akshay Kumar loves to do three-four films a year. In fact, last year itself he had some of the biggest money spinners in a single year – Kesari, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 and Good Newwz. Four big blockbusters from a superstar in a year is commendable. Who has a track record like this?
Akshay Kumar now has some seven films awaiting his attention. He was forced to take a break because of the lockdown. Now that the filmmakers are planning to slowly start working, the actor has his plan laid out. According to reports in a leading daily, the actor will first work on the spy-thriller, Bell Bottom. Akshay and team will shoot the film in Scotland for a month. They will also shoot a few scenes in India. The actor chose to shoot this film first as it doesn’t require scenes which need a lot of crowd or high-end action sequences.
Akshay Kumar who teams up with YRF for Prithviraj Chauhan, plans to shoot it by October end. Now this film needs a certain scale, so according to reports in the daily, the makers are in no hurry to finish it. Since it's a historical, they would rather take their time over it.
Akshay Kumar then has Atrangi Re helmed by Aanand L Rai and starring Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush. The film will see him in a special role. Akshay Kumar is required to shoot for two weeks. He will allot the dates once the shooting kickstarts.
And finally, he will start work on Sajid Nadiadwala's Bachchan Pandey by December-Janaury. “He has a team in place to ensure that all SOPs are strictly followed by everyone. Safety will be priority on the set,” said a source to the daily.
Next year, he has Ekta Kapoor’s film, which is a Telugu remake and a film with Maneesh Sharma. His Rohit Shetty backed drama Sooryavanshi with Katrina Kaif will release by Diwali in theatres.
