Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death on 14 June shook everyone. As the actor didn’t leave behind a suicide note, several conpiracy theories were being floated around. Some even insinuated murder. The police has been investigating the death ever sicne. They have recorded statemnets of 30 people till now. Yesterday they called filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali to the police station to record his statement.

According to reports in a daily, SLB was reprotedly asked some 20 questions. The filmmaker it seems has claimed that he never dropped Sushant from any of his films. There were reports that Sushant was mighty upset with Bhansali for being dropped him from Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani. However an officer spoke to a daily and said that the director claimed he couldn’t work with the actor because he was busy working for Paani. “The director wanted his full attention for two of his big films but as Rajput was busy and refused to work, Bhansali did not ask him again,” said the officer to the daily. The filmmaker also stated that he has not spoken to Sushant Singh Rajput since 2016 and hence had no idea about the actor’s depression or other problems. The filmmaker was questioned in Santacruz police station for an hour.

Other celebrities who have been asked to come to the police station for a statement have been his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, casting director Shanoo Sharma and his other close friends. The actor claimed his life by hanging himself in his Bandra apartment.
